Mistfall Hunter Launch Day Patch: What Shipped July 30
Mistfall Hunter went live on July 30, 2026 with a launch-day client update. Bellring Games tuned the Withered Knight's new Polearm & Shield weapon and fixed a Soul of Return extraction bug, console reconnection issues, and a PS5 deck-screen anomaly.
What happened
Mistfall Hunter launched globally on July 30, 2026. A launch client update (around 16:00 UTC) landed shortly after servers opened, focused on stabilising the new-player experience and tuning the Season 1 weapon that shipped with the game.
Class balance
Withered Knight (Polearm & Shield): reduced energy cost on the charged dash, improved turning during skills, increased thrust damage, raised the Spear Barrage multiplier, lowered the energy cost and cooldown on Rainbow Piercer, and made the Block action cheaper. The Greatsword branch was untouched in this patch.
Bug fixes
•Fixed a Soul Tree bug that could consume a second Soul of Return on extraction
•Fixed item-splitting issues in the inventory
•Fixed console reconnection problems after a dropped session
•Fixed a PS5 deck-screen display anomaly
•Improved controller responsiveness
What this means for players
Day-one builds should be treated as provisional — Bellring signalled it would patch aggressively in the first weeks, and it did. If you rolled Withered Knight, the Polearm & Shield branch came out of launch in a stronger spot than the DevNote #7 preview suggested.
Builds on metamist are labelled by the patch they were verified on. Launch-patch builds are being added and re-checked as the meta settles.
