What this site is
MetaMist is a fan-made community hub for Mistfall Hunter. It exists because the game itself doesn't ship with a build planner, a searchable talent/affix reference, or a place for players to compare notes — so we built one. The site is three things in practice: a community build database, a set of hand-written class and mechanics guides, and original quest walkthroughs for the game's story content.
Who runs it
MetaMist is operated independently by David Michel and is not affiliated with Bellring Games or the developers of Mistfall Hunter. All game content, names, and trademarks referenced on this site belong to their respective rights holders. Full legal contact details are in the Impressum.
How class and game data is verified
Skill, talent, and affix data is checked against in-game sources and, where available, official Bellring Games communications (patch notes, the official Discord). When we cite something from an official source directly, we say so on the page. Class and mechanics guides are updated when patches change the underlying data — builds display a patch badge so you can tell at a glance whether a guide reflects the current version or may be out of date.
How community builds work
Anyone with an account can submit a build. Submissions aren't individually fact-checked by an expert before publishing — they're community opinions and playstyles, not official guidance, and votes/comments are how the community surfaces the ones worth reading. Builds marked Officialare ones we've written up directly from Bellring Games' own recommended setups, clearly labeled as such.
We do remove submissions that are empty, placeholder/test posts, spam, or otherwise add nothing for a reader — that's routine moderation, not editorial judgment on build quality. Genuine builds stay up regardless of how unconventional or jokingly they're written.
