The Gyldhunter fells the Flesheater — Otto, a royal researcher consumed by Gyldenization — and Drífa's soul finally returns to camp to reunite with Dramm.

Drífa reveals a truth Dramm refuses to believe — that their father Otto was the Flesheater — sending the Gyldhunter into Hallowgrove's Ship Grave to settle the siblings' conflicting stories.

Dramm learns the mining accident was a cover story for soul experiments, leading the Gyldhunter to Harald's tower and a final, tragic reckoning with the corrupted General.

With Harald's soul freed, Dew traces a hidden mastermind — the Fate Mocker — to a long-lost priestess trapped within Hallowgrove.
