What are affixes?
Affixes are gem-socketed modifiers that customize your gear. Most gear pieces have sockets where you can insert gems to grant a specific affix, letting you tailor stats and effects to your build. Some items — certain helmets, for example — come with fixed affixes that can't be changed. Builds on metamist let you pick up to 6 affixes and set a level for each.
