PvP vs PvE
Withered Knight
The Withered Knight is a high-pressure melee brawler built around the Wither mechanic and execute chains. Every basic attack and most skills apply Wither stacks, which increase incoming damage. Once stacks are high, Execute is devastating — and with the Crime talent, it doesn't even consume them. Thorn Guide enables aggressive gap-closing, and the Grappling Hook talent extends it into terrain-based repositioning; Parry is both defensive and offensive when punished properly.

Role in a Group
Aggressive frontline and priority-target eliminator. You're more offensive than a Mercenary and more durable than a Shadowstrix. In trios, take the Wither Knight into any fight where there's a high-value target that needs to die fast — your Execute chain is the fastest kill tool available to a melee class.
↑ Strengths
- ✓Crime + Execute creates a repeating execute loop that ignores defensive cooldowns
- ✓Thorn Guide is one of the best gap-closers in the game — fast, long-range, and doubles as terrain traversal with the Grappling Hook talent
- ✓Wither makes the Withered Knight a force multiplier: your debuffs help your team's damage too
- ✓The Unstoppable talent grants Super Armor after successful parries, enabling aggressive play
- ✓Legacy passive healing off Wither-target kills enables strong self-sustain in PvE
- ✓Highest damage ceiling of any melee class when played correctly
↓ Weaknesses
- ✗Extremely punishing skill floor — a missed Parry is often a death sentence
- ✗Wither stacks require time to build — slow to come online against mobile targets
- ✗Grappling Hook misses are vulnerable windows with no safety net
- ✗Hard countered by kiting classes on open maps
- ✗Crime talent creates kit dependency: without it, Execute feels underwhelming
