Overview

Bellring Games' official recommended beginner setup for Shadowstrix's Dual Blades branch, shared via the Mistfall Hunter Discord. It pairs Spinning Slash and Inspiring Impale with a sustained-pressure talent spread.

Skills

  • Spinning Slash
  • Inspiring Impale

Note

The source graphic also lists a talent named "Tetanus," which doesn't exist in our current talent data — left out of this build pending in-game verification (see TO-DOs.md).

Official Class Guide

Shadowstrix uses stealth, shadow-based movement, and fast melee strikes to create sudden openings in battle. Skills such as Sneak, Crow Storm, Shadow Strike, Flurry Strike, Phantom Shift, and Bloody Blade Dance support a combat style built around approaching, striking, repositioning, and continuing pressure. With Shadow Veil and afterimage-related effects, Shadowstrix can turn mobility and timing into repeated attack opportunities.

Solo vs Trio

Like the Dagger branch, Dual Blades scales up in trios thanks to reduced cooldowns on tools like Spinning Slash, letting you reposition and re-engage more often while teammates create pressure elsewhere. The community's described ideal trio flow: flank while a tankier class (Mercenary or Withered Knight) holds attention, then dive isolated targets from the side.

Common Mistakes

  • Using Spinning Slash purely as a damage button instead of a gap-closer/reposition tool — it's most valuable chained into and out of an engagement.
  • Skipping crowd-control setup in favor of pure burst — locking a target down first is what makes the burst reliably land.
  • Overextending after a kill instead of disengaging immediately when a trade goes bad or a target dies.
