Item & Loot Guide
How gear works in Mistfall Hunter, where to farm affixed items, and which affixes to prioritise for each class. Based on open beta knowledge.
Where to Find Items
Dungeon Runs
All tiersThe primary loot source. Higher dungeon tiers drop better item quality and have a higher chance of rolling rare affix combinations. Run the highest difficulty you can consistently clear.
- ›Boss chests at the end of each dungeon are guaranteed to drop at least one affixed item.
- ›Elite rooms (optional encounters within a dungeon) have a higher item drop rate than standard enemies.
- ›Completing a dungeon without any player deaths grants a bonus chest with improved loot rolls.
World Bosses
High-end lootWorld bosses like the Woodling Ancient spawn on fixed timers in open zones. They drop the highest-tier affixed gear in the open beta, including items that can roll multiple affixes simultaneously.
- ›World bosses require a coordinated group — solo runs are viable for high-skill players but risky.
- ›The Woodling Ancient has the highest affix drop rate of any current world boss.
- ›World boss respawn timers reset on server restart — check community channels for spawn windows.
Vendor & Crafting
Reliable baselineZone vendors sell baseline affixed gear for in-game currency. Useful for filling gaps between dungeon runs. Crafting (available from zone workbenches) lets you target-roll specific affixes at the cost of materials.
- ›Save crafting materials for slots where you need a specific affix rather than spending on all slots.
- ›Vendors rotate stock every in-game day — check regularly for rare affix rolls at discounted prices.
- ›Crafting success rate improves with higher-tier crafting materials found in deeper dungeons.
Gem Sockets & Affix Slots
Item customisationGear in Mistfall Hunter has gem sockets that directly determine which affixes are active. Socket a gem to gain its affix effect — remove it to swap. You can have up to 5 active affixes across all your gear simultaneously.
- ›Gem sockets are separate from base item stats — a low-level item with the right sockets can still be strong.
- ›Affix gems can be transferred between items at a workbench for a small material cost.
- ›Stacking two copies of the same affix does not double the effect — diversify your affix selection.
