Dodge Power Shot — Battle Hardened PvP

Overview

The Battle Hardened sequential cluster is the highest-investment, highest-reward path in the Blackarrow talent tree. You work through the chain — Measured Pace → Marksman → Dodge Power Shot → Dodge Rapid Shot → Lasting Pain → Battle-fed — and the payoff is a completely different combat style built around dodge-cancelling into instant shots.

Dodge Power Shot replaces your roll with a dodge that immediately fires the currently loaded arrow toward the nearest enemy near your crosshairs using a quick-charge. The arrow activates all special effects of a fully drawn arrow at a reduced damage multiplier. With Full Draw increasing your fully-drawn damage and Marksman making your arrows home, the entire kit works together.

How Battle Hardened Works

Battle Hardened is a sequential cluster — you cannot pick nodes freely. You must unlock them in order:

1. Measured Pace — When carrying at least 2 Archer's Arrows, fully drawing and immediately firing Normal Arrows recovers Energy. This is your sustain node that lets you keep shooting aggressively.

2. Marksman — Fully drawn arrows home toward enemies near your crosshairs. This effectively removes the need for precise lead at mid-range.

3. Dodge Power Shot — Replaces roll with dodge and adds Dodge Power Shot. The core of this build.

4. Dodge Rapid Shot — Adds a second dodge variant that fires both the loaded arrow and a normal arrow. Situational but powerful.

5. Lasting Pain — After hitting an enemy with a shot, extends the duration of all active debuffs on that target. Strong synergy with Pursuit Mark.

6. Battle-fed — When carrying at least 2 Hunter's Arrows, hitting an enemy reduces the remaining cooldown on all skills. Keeps everything cycling fast.

Skills

• Shadow Step — Your movement tool. Use to create distance or flank. Don't waste it escaping — use it proactively to set angles.
• Stagger Arrow — Staggers enemies out of their attacks or skills. Use before your burst window.
• Scout — Reveals enemy positions. Knowing where they are before you engage is non-negotiable.
• Rain of Arrows — Zone denial. Drop this on a choke or extraction point to control space.

Affix Priority

• Lethal — Raw damage. Your primary stat.
• Precise — Crit chance. With Marksman handling aim, crit is free value.
• Swift — Cooldown reduction. Keeps Shadow Step and Scout available.
• Brutal — Amplifies burst windows, especially after Dodge Power Shot fires.
• Tenacious — You're mobile but not immortal. A small HP buffer matters.

Tips

Dodge Power Shot works best when enemies commit to an attack — dodge through their hit, the shot fires automatically toward them mid-dodge. At close range this is nearly unavoidable. Practice the timing against mobs before relying on it in PvP.

Measured Pace's Energy recovery means you can sustain your draw speed through longer engagements. Don't just open with Dodge Power Shot — build some draw tempo first.
